MARINE

The ECA (Emission Control Area) correspond to maritime areas in which the OMI defined stricts control in order to minimize the impact of the ships emission on the environment and the human health. Through the establishment of regulated areas (ECA), the ships powered by LNG became a major challenge and over 100 ships were produced in the last 5 years.

Based on the ball valve technology, Meca Inox puts its experience and its knowhow to develop multifunctional solutions with minimized pressure drop for some demanding application such as :

• Isolation upstream/downstream for secured maintenance of the safety valves installed on the LNG tanks,
• Inerting of the LNG lines by flushing azote,
• Quick fill of the LNG tanks with pressure control,
• Managment of the steam return on flowback during the LNG tanks fill.

The multifunctional designs for marine applications have been tested and approved by certification body as : Bureau Veritas, DNV-GL, Lloyd’s Register, ABS, RINA.

• Conception in conformity with the rules of the certifying body (verification chemical composition),

INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS

PHARMA & BIO TECH

Meca-Inox, a leader in ball valves, has developed a range for the pharmaceutical, fine chemicals from packaging to finished products.

Our 2-piece ball valves and 3-piece ball valves, manual or actuated, are used on many fluids (alcohol, acids, solvents, …) involved in the process of developing active ingredients. They are found in pharmaceutical workshops on “clean utilities” (purified water, steam clean, filtered air, thermal fluids…)

In fine chemical Meca-Inox offers solutions:

INDUSTRIAL GAS

Meca-Inox, a leader in ball valves, has developed a range for industrial gas producers and users.

Our cryogenic ball valves manufactured to EN1626 are used in Air Separation Unit as well as injection and pumping systems Liquified Natural Gas.

These 3-piece ball valves are mounted on tank trucks and storage tanks
of liquid gas in compliance with Directive TPED-97.

They are used on Gas CO2, N2, O2, He, H2, O3, Ar, mixtures, in gaseaous or liquid (-196°C) in industries of steel, soft drinks, microelectronics, frozen food, medical …

Applications for flow adjustment (hot nitrogen, CO2 at ambient temperature, etc…) we offer our control valve.

To prevent backflow of oxygen, we recommend the check valve in clean and degreased version.

LNG

FOOD INDUSTRY

Meca-Inox, a leader in ball valves, has developed a range for the food industry from crude to finished products.

Our 3-piece ball valves, manual or actuated, are used on many utilities (Water, steam, air, caustic soda, …) involved in the process of rinsing, drying, cleaning. They are also found on the storage, mixing lines and transfers of products not subject to bacterial growth.

Flanged ball valves and 3-piece ball valves, manual or actuated, are used on chemical process development of large polymers (poly ethylene, ethylene oxide, ethylene amine …).
These products meet the new requirements of the Fire Safety Standard ISO 10497 on the fire performance. Otherwise they are Chartered TA-Luft (fugitive emissions) and in accordance with ATEX 94/9/EC (Explosive Atmosphere)

Downstream, in specialty chemicals, Meca-Inox offers solutions:

:: The retention on the lines of paints and resins is minimized by the use of flush valve.
