Worthington Aritas is an OEM specialised in the conception and the manufacturing of fixed and mobile tanks for Industrial Gas and Cryogenic fluids applications.
Our client needed a reliable solution allowing a quick fill and draining of its Liquid Nitrogen tanks (at -196°C), as quickly as possible.
The customer has choosen MECA-INOX ball valve technology for many reasons, among them :
- The low pressure drops : The full bore in the open position that allows to flow 223 m³/h* with a pressure drop of 1 bar (Kv value) on a DN50 pipeline.
(*Theoritical data on the basis of a water application with a pressure drop of 1 Bar). - The tightness performances, external and internal in the closed position.
MECA-INOX has answered this customer challenge with its standardized range of cryogenic valve : PY4 CY type.
The version was installed in DN 50 with pneumatic actuator.
The customer was quickly delivered with (ou because of) the availibility of the products on stock.
